Thinking about format and the final result => a book.
How about picking up the idea to produce four stories in four small books? Each book is equal with one chapter: 4 artist => 4 chapters => 4 storys => 4 books in one box.
It would be great to have the storys NOT in order. If no order is maintained and any order of chapters/storys works - that would be very cool!
I like the idea to have four stroys in which the protagonists of the other storys appear (someone mentioned pump fiction...). Maybe the protagonists interact, maybe just pass in the backround?
This idea could work
Hi Nele,
I kind of like the second idea where we stacked 4 of our comics inside each other's comics. It looked simple and more interesting than the standard bindings. But we have to make sure the cover could contain all the separate comics together so they won't fall or scattered all over the place.
But again, my concern is how many pages that we have in each book. 12 pages artwork will be 6(with printing on both side)+ 4 page (front and back cover for each stories). If it stacked together, it will be quite thick, but separately it'll be quite thin.
But I love the possibilities of this format.
Yeah, maybe we can do the mock up later and we'll see how it will look like.
hello! We should remember
hello!
We should remember that we only have 10 pages each book. And if it's back to back it's actually just 5 pages. Plus covers..only around six pages.
but cool idea, we can get creative with the covers as well! adn the box too!

YES
that´s right. I´m sure it is okay if we do 12 pages each. I just posted a sketch how do organise the book. 16 pages is too much, i guess but if we have 12 pages minus title/cover and back (i love the idea of the map) we have 10 pages each for the story. Maybe we can just do a smaller book - A5 maybe (21cm X 14,4cm) is a good size. We should work on a 12 pages storyboard and decide then if we stick with that or rather like to work more and do 116 pages. But 16 is a lot in 8 weeks!
